Who are we?
Didn't we have a lovely day the day we went to ...Chagford Fair (Aug 2008)

The EDKPA had a stall at the Chagford Show on Thursday 21st. It was manned for the whole day (from 7AM!) and was a great success (even picking up an award). The stall even receive a 'Highly Commended' award!

The EDKPA had a stand at the Chagford Show in August 2008 to raise funds and also raise awareness of what dialysis is and the need for transplants. Wendy Sincock organised it and it was a great success. The weather was dry for the day – probably the only dry day in August, and the show was very well attended. Wendy and her husband John put the gazebo up on Thursday evening only for it to be promptly blown away (such is the Summer…). When they finally managed to get it up again, they prayed it would still be intact the following morning. Thankfully, it was!

Wendy (right) co-ordinated the stand, which included handmade wood turned clocks and other items by Ian Carpenter , who was at the stall with his wife Irene. Peter and Sue Sherman also helped with the stall which sold other items such as cards from Shane Cross and hand-knitted baby clothes (pictures of all of these will be added to the website, as they are all sold in aid of the KPA). Linda Crandon was also on hand to help with the stall.

People were in and out of the stall all day, and there were some fascinating looking children (and adults!) who were more than ably painted by Wendy, who spent most of the day transforming faces with flowers, animals and hearts much to the delight of children and parents alike.

When Wendy wasn't available, Eileen took over with aplomb...

Oh, and the sign which Anne is holding in the photo at the top? Take a closer look (right) - the stand won a 'Highly Commended' prize for the Best Trade Exhibit.

A huge “thank you!” to all the people who gave up their time
to make the stall such a success.
