"With the help of a friend and another patient who had previously dialysed there – we made contact with Hospital and the holiday dialysis nurses at Exeter, Debbie and Paula, liaised with Pontivy hospital to make arrangements for the trip. Jason is grateful for the gift from his mother, and now it's 25 years on...

 

“It was November 1981 when I had my transplant,” remembers Jason. “It seems a long time ago, but I can still remember it as if it was yesterday.”....  “It’s been 25 years since I had my transplant. Garfield ('the bionic man') and Margaret have been through so much.

A wonderful story about exactly what they have done - after 46 years..

 

.....Margaret and Garfield are still inseparable after 46 years together in beautiful North Devon and there is nothing they enjoy more than their Friday outings. Every Friday they load up their trailer with pallets of Swedes freshly grown on their farm and travel all over North Devon to shops, supermarkets and wholesalers delivering their produce.
